




CAD/CAFM Systems Operator
Responsible for all aspects of the CAD (Computer Aided Design) System and CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management), including hardware, software, archiving, network file structures, application inter-operability and documentation as directed by the CAD/CAFM Systems Administrator.
Draft, design, configure, and otherwise develop space plans, construction and programming documents, basic mechanical and system drawings, and furniture specifications for proposed or on-going projects using MRAm standards and code compliant methods. Work closely with Corporate Facilities and Building Operations staff, A/E consultants, and other outside contractors.
Keep all schematics, plans, diagrams, details, etc., up to date to maintain an accurate, comprehensive resource of electronic facilities information as directed by the CAD/CAFM Systems Administrator. Assist in periodic facilities audits to verify drawing accuracy.
Maintain an accurate digital photo library as per department standards. This includes linking digital photographs to their respective CAD files and keeping the digital camera operational.
Work with the Branch Office Space Coordinators, the Home Office Space Coordinators and/or the Corporate Facilities Project Coordinator to maintain MRAm occupancy information and move documentation in the CAFM database as required to support the integrity of the company’s Smart Directory
Act as a liaison for MRAm Information Technology personnel and outside AutoCad and Archibus Consultants. This may include initiating work requests and tracking support calls and their associated charges.
Track, or assist in tracking of, the usage and maintenance of the department's plotter, printers, and engineering copier. This may include ordering supplies and service for the hardware; and assisting in the management of CAD (type) plot files.
Assist in the backing up of AutoCad and Archibus data files to comply with the company’s BCP requirements. This includes printing hardcopy drawings and documentation for off-site storage as per the BCP requirements and assisting in the testing of the recovery procedures to insure all backup/recovery procedures work as planned.
Is readily available for overtime work and on a mandatory basis during work related emergencies as determined by the Corporate Facilities Management Team.
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Corporate Facilities Management Team.
Preferred Qualifications
High level CAD experience and training (2 to 3 years AutoCAD experience Release 2006 or later)
Architectural background or related degree.
Corporate Facilities experience
High level PC skills especially related to photo management software, databases, MS Office 2003, Windows 2000, and hardware/software configurations.
A working knowledge of Archibus CAFM software is preferred.
