Faculty Awards and Honors 

Dr. Pushpendra Singh, has been elected a fellow of the American Physical Society (APS).  Dr. Singh was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the development of efficient algorithms for the direct numerical simulations of multiphase fluids (DNS), and for using the DNS technique in conjunction with experiments as a tool for understanding the physics of a broad range of multiphase systems.
Dr. Herli Surjanhata received the NCE Excellence in Teaching Award, April 2007.

Dr. Bernard Koplik  has been named Master Teacher for 2005, NJIT Convocation, September 2005.  Dr. Koplik also received the Excellence in Teaching Award in the category, Excellence in Upper Division Undergraduate Instruction, NJIT, Oct 2004.
Dr. Joga Rao, Promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with Tenure, June 2005. He also received the NCE Excellence in Teaching Award, April 2005
