The Sino-American Joint M.S. Engineering Management Program between the New Jersey of Institute of Technology and the Beijing University of Technology is designed to train a future generation of technical and scientific managers to serve the needs of the growing Chinese economy.

Beijing University of Technology was founded in 1960. It is a key university under the administration of the Beijing municipal government. The university offers various programs and is also involved in diversified academic research in the fields of science, engineering, economics, management, liberal arts and law. Its mission is “relying on Beijing, merging into Beijing, inspiring China and orienting itself to the world.” In fulfilling this mission, the university has become a base for cultivating qualified high-level personnel, for scientific and technological innovation and for research and development.

CURRICULUM: The MSEM@Beijing curriculum is identical to the MSEM program at our Newark campus. Students must complete 30 credits of course work, including 18 credits of core requirements and 12 credits of elective courses.

CLASSES: All MSEM@Beijing courses are taught in traditional classroom style at the BJUT campus in Beijing. Course instructors include NJIT faculty who reside at the BJUT campus for the course duration, and BJUT faculty using course content similar to our Newark classes.

DEGREE: Program graduates will be awarded a M.S. Engineering Management degree from NJIT and have the option of visiting the Newark campus during the May commencement ceremonies.
